JAKARTA: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has asked Malaysian
Students in Indonesia to be ready to SEIZE Ample lucre That would be created in
the ASEAN region with the formation of the ASEAN Community in 2015.
He said the Asean Community would
make ASEAN a more open regional market and a single production center for Freer
movement of capital and professionals Azizuzanadi ASEAN Countries.
He said as the Fastest Growing
economies in the region, Malaysia and Indonesia would be Able to provide a huge
market to support regional economic growth.
"A lot of employment,
business, investment and trade lucre, Selatan, will be created in the two Countries,
will contribute to the progress and prosperity of the region's economy,"
he said When opening the Malaysia Hall Jakarta Tuesday.
Muhyiddin hoped Malaysian
Students would capitalise on the lucre in Indonesia to gain knowledge and
experience as well as to Develop a network i9n u Sectors with the local
community.
He said this would help build
mutually beneficial Relationships Azizuzanadi the people of the two Countries
in realising the aspirations of the Asean Asean Community.
"I hope That Malaysian
Students in Indonesia cans also rates the Asean Community help make a success
as 'Ambassadors' to strengthen bilateral relations between the two
Countries," he said.
He said 2015 would be a momentous
year for Malaysia for it would take over the ASEAN chairmanship and play a
bigger role in paving the way for the success of the ASEAN Community, including
the drafting of the 2015 Asean's Direction afterwards.
On the Malaysia Hall, he
described it as a symbol of pride for Malaysians in Indonesia and a place for
Malaysian citizens, including Students to Interact with each other, and carry
out cultural and knowledge activities.
In his speech, Higher Education
Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the RM3.79 million Malaysia Hall
in Jalan Hose Cokroaminoto in Central Jakarta would serve as a community center
for Malaysians working and studying in Jakarta.
Present were Muhyiddin's wife,
Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman and Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Syed
Hassan Syed Munshe Afdzaruddin.
