The Dutch hotel chain Golden Tulip plans to open at least 15 hotels in Bali and major Indonesian cities such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Solo, Makassar, Surabaya, Bandung and Bekasi in the next two years.

"The first will be opened in Seminyak, Bali in December," said Erick Herlangga, regional development and operational director of Golden Tulip Indonesia.

The chain will open another three hotels in the resort island in Nusa Dua, Bedugul, and Ubud the following year. Meanwhile, nine other establishments will open in cities outside Bali by 2015, Erick said as reported by tribunnews.com

The hotels are aimed at both middle travelers and above. Golden Tulip Essentials with 100 rooms and Golden Tulip with 75 rooms will be more for the middle class while Royal Tulip with 75 rooms will be more expensive .There will also be a budget hotel, Premiere Classe.

Indonesia is one of most attractive markets for hotel chains. "Indonesia is now the 15th-largest economy in the world and predicted to be the seventh in seven years. There must be plenty of people who want to do business here, we want to accommodate them," said Erick.
