East West College (EWC) Seremban is now looking for youths who will be trained to work in the hospitality sector, particularly at the Legoland theme park in Iskandar Malaysia.
EWC Business Adviser Mokhtar Alias said the programme was jointly organised by the college, the Skills Development Department, Skills Development Fund, the Negeri Sembilan Manpower Department, Iskandar Malaysia and Legoland.
“The Skills Development Fund Corporation has appointed EWC as a training provider to train the skilled manpower. In this regard, EWC seeks able students to follow the training,” he said in a statement today.
He said the first batch of 100 students would be placed in the Legoland theme park after spending nine months at EWC.
Candidates must be between 16 and 35 years and have sat for at least the PMR.
Upon completion, they will receive the Malaysian Skills Certificate which qualifies them to be skilled workers and later sit for the City & Guild examination to obtain international recognition.
Mokhtar said all students would receive full loan from the Skills Development Fund while undergoing the programme.
