Malaysia - Ananda Krishnan among five M’sians in WSJ top 10 power list


Half of the top 10 people on The Wall Street Journal‘s South-East Asia Power List are Malaysians.
Usaha Tegas group chairman T. Ananda Krishnan was the highest-ranked Malaysian on the list published last week at number six, followed consecutively by Tan Sri Robert Kuok, AirAsia CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Genting Malaysia chairman and chief executive Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, and CIMB Group chief executive Datuk Seri Nazir Razak.
The top five people on the list are Indonesians. From number one to five are Bakrie group owner Aburizal Bakrie, Sampoerna groupchairman Putra Sampoerna, Salim group CEO Anthoni Salim, Sinar Mas Group founder Eka Tjipta Widjaja, and Lippo group CEO James Riady.
The list, which comprises 30 people in all, also include Petroliam Nasional Bhd president Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas (11th spot) and Wilmar International president Kuok Khoon Hong (17th place).
