A Vietnamese education firm began construction work on a bilingual school in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City over the weekend.
The Bilingual Canadian International School is established by Khoi Nguyen Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to meet the current urgent growing demands of a multifaceted and efficient educational environment.
It costs VND659 billion (US$32 million) and is situated on a 4-hectare prime site in Phu My Hung New Urban Area.
The first phase of the construction, which covers 1.3 hectares, will be able to admit over 1,500 students into its 60 classrooms when it is finished in August 2012.
The rest of the school will be completed between 2013 and 2015.
Enrollment will start in the 2012-2013 academic year.
The school will use a Vietnamese curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and Training and employ an advanced set of knowledge and communication methods provided by Vietnamese teaching staff.
