(VOV) - Ho Chi Minh City is gearing up to stop the spread of dengue fever and hand-foot-mouth disease.
Since early this year, the city has experienced 9,000 cases of dengue fever, up 1.6 times from a year earlier, including 6 deaths.
According to the health sector, prolonged rain is ideal for mosquitoes to spread the disease.
The city has also claimed more than 9,000 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease, an increase of 3.6 times over the same period last year, with 25 deaths so far.
