He said he hoped businesses from the two
countries would take advantage of opportunities to co-operate and enter into
joint ventures, contributing to raising bilateral trade turnover to US$1

Asoka Hettigoda said Sri Lankan businesses

receiving Canadian Governor General David Johnston.
Aspects that needed stronger co-operation were
politics, diplomacy, healthcare, trade and investment, he added.

to friendly bilateral ties.

accomplish the Millennium Development Goals, particularly poverty reduction.
The guest also said there was more untapped
potential between the two countries.
