The National Assembly Standing Committee on November 16, asked NA deputies’ opinions on the upcoming question and answer session. Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said the NA Standing Committee received over 120 questions from deputies of 36 provinces.
These questions were sent to PM Nguyen Tan Dung, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan, the central bank’s Governor Nguyen Van Binh, Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang, Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh and some other cabinet members.
However, the NA Standing Committee proposed that five Ministers and the PM will answer NA deputies.
Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang will answer questions about solutions to curb traffic jams and traffic accidents in big cities, measures to speed up and improve quality of transport projects in the context that capital is reduced. Ministers of Public Security, Finance, Construction, Planning and Investment will contribute to related issues.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat will explain the implementation of the investment policy on agriculture, rural area, farmers; measures to diminish the impacts of climate change, natural disasters; how to maintain 3.8 million of rice field.
Questions about education and training quality, extra classes, shortage of kindergartens, illegal charges at schools, etc. will be answered by Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan.
Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue will have answers on management of prices of essential goods like petrol, electricity, coal, public service under the market mechanism; government’s debt, financial security, etc.
Governor Nguyen Van Binh will answer questions about solutions for restructuring the banking system and ensuring financial security, measures to maintain the value of the VND and stabilize the monetary market, management of banks and credit institutions, etc.
Finally, PM Nguyen Tan Dung will be questioned directly of the NA deputies on the government’s implementation of the social-economic development plan in 2011-2012 and in the next five years, economic restructuring and poverty reduction.
The question and answer session is scheduled in two and a half days, from the morning of November 23 to noon November 25.
