Vietnam - German embassy supports Nghe An schools

Improving school facilities in rural areas of the central province of Nghe An is one of many projects the German embassy aims to carry out this year.

Together with the Department of Education and Training in Nghe An, the German embassy in Hanoi has supported funds to buy new chairs, tables, teacher desks and closets for six primary and secondary schools in the province’s isolated areas.

Some schools were also repainted or had their playground paved.

Nguyen Dang Khoi, principal at Hau Thanh secondary school, said the students were excited about the new classrooms and became more enthusiastic in their studies.

Over the past year, the German embassy in Vietnam has supported several projects to improve the quality of life of villagers in rural Vietnam, renovate health centers and clinics, improve facilities, and buy equipment for schools and vocational centers in rural areas.
