President Truong Tan Sang made the statement yesterday, March 13, while receiving Mozambican Ambassador Antonio Incacio Junior who was ending his working term in Viet Nam.
The President expressed his thanks to Mozambique for its support at multilateral forums and praised the ambassador's contributions to heightening relations in the past years.
He suggested that Mozambique create favourable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest in the fields of telecommunications and agriculture to increase two-way trade turnover to US$1 billion.
Ambassador Inacio Junior expressed his thanks to Viet Nam for its support during his working term.
He also informed the President about the progress of projects with Viettel Group and the Viet Nam Rubber Group, affirming that Mozambique would always facilitate Vietnamese enterprises.
He considered the establishment of a Mozambican embassy in Viet Nam as an important step in developing relations and expressed his hope that Viet Nam would become the bridge to connect Mozambique with the Southeast Asian market.
On this occasion, Sang invited his Mozambican counterpart to visit Viet Nam at his earliest convenience.
