Only 298 Vietnamese from outside the country
and one or two foreigners had bought – or had registered to buy – a house in
Vietnam up to April 10, with only three additional purchases since late last
year.
Most of
the Vietnamese owners held foreign citizenships; foreign ownership was rare,
Land Registration and Statistics Department figures showed.
Of the
list, 252 owned houses in HCM City, 12 in Can Tho City and four in Ha Noi. Of
the latter, three were Vietnamese, the other Czech.
