A press statement from the
ministry said the main objective of the MoU was to promote governance,
cooperation and development in ICT and multimedia initiatives which will
benefit both Brunei and Sabah.
This will enable the private
sectors in both parties to capitalise on each other's strengths and
capabilities so that resources can be optimally utilised.
Signing on behalf of the
government was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, Dato
Paduka Hj Alaihuddin POKDG Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Hj Mohamad Taha, while

This initiative will increasingly
make Brunei as a communication gateway and a transit hub for the BIMP-EAGA
region, the statement said. "The bigger picture to this initiative is the
implementation of the BIMP-EAGA Rink - a project to link up the BIMP-EAGA
