VietNamNet Bridge – iPhone 5, the most expected technological
product in 2012, has not raised the special amenities among Vietnamese people
as previously expected. However, iPhone 5, like other iPhone series, is still a
high-end product with the Apple brand; therefore, they would still be selling
well in the market, analysts said.
iPhone 5 officially hit the world
market on September 13 morning, Hanoi time. Just some hours later, the first
comments about the super-product appeared on some forums. iPhone 5 has a
4-inch, lager screen than its “elder brothers”, the weight of 112 grams and the
thickness of 7 mm only.
Especially, iPhone 5 uses the
stronger A6 SoC microprocessor and supports LTE connectivity as well. Its 8
megapixel camera with considerable improvement can provide better shoots, while
some software features have also been upgraded.
Nevertheless, Vietnamese hi-tech
product players have expressed their disappointment about the most awaiting
technological product of the year, saying that iPhone 5 does not have big
impression on them, and that iPhone 5 just has some outstanding features.
Tran Manh Hiep, the administrator
of Tinh Te forum, said he feels some disappointment because iPhone 5’s design
is similar to the image leaked before.
He also said that iPhone 5 has
been advertised as integrating many new features, but he most appreciates the
HD Voice feature.
Though HD Voice has been tested
for the last several years, this is for the first time the better audio
technology is integrated into a merchandise mobile phone.
“We once witnessed the strong
development of the quality of the screen, camera, and now it’s the time we can
hear each other better,” he said.
However, Hiep, while saying that
iPhone 5 actually is not as wonderful as he thought, still believes that the
product would still catch the special attention from the public.
Tran Quoc Huy, a reporter of
VnExpress online newspaper, also thinks that iPhone 5 does not have any
preeminent hardware characteristics if compared with other products.
“iPhone 5 can catch up with its
rivals in terms of hardware. However, it still cannot pass the others,” he
commented.
However, Hiep said with the good
platform and good hardware connection, iPhone 5 would still be a redoubtable
weapon Apple can use to struggle with Android and the rise of Windows Phone.
Especially, Apple still has a stable force of users.
Tran Duc Trung, an editor of the
Nghe Nhin (Audiovisual) journal, also said that the way Apple chose to
introduce its new product was not really impressive. Meanwhile, customers
cannot see any considerable differences in the design between the images of the
products exposed to the public some months ago, and the real products.
This, according to Trung, would
ease the eagerness of people for iPhone 5. However, Trung believes that iPhone
5 would still be selling well; though it would not cause a heat wave like
iPhone 4 did in the past.
Mai Trieu Nguyen, Director of the
Mai Nguyen Supermarket chain, also said that iPhone 5 does not have much
improvement in comparison with the previous generations of the product.
However, Nguyen stressed that
iPhone 5 would still be a product of Apple, the brand that ensures the good
sales for any high technology products, especially when people have heard
nothing new about Android series.
Affirming that iPhone 5 cannot
“make a breakthrough” in the market, information technology experts feel
worried for Apple. They have also pointed out that the fact that iPhone 5 uses
Nano SIM would be a big challenge, since this kind of SIM is yet to be popular.
