JAKARTA, Feb. 12 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Mr Le
Luong Minh, welcomed the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Indonesia,
H.E. Mr. Martin Hermann, expressing appreciation to him and the Government of
Denmark for the commitment in moving forward cooperation between ASEAN and
Denmark.
A statement from the ASEAN
secretariat said Ambassador Hermann met SG Minh, on February 3 at the ASEAN
Secretariat to present his Letter of Credentials.
Ambassador Hermann thanked the
Secretary-General of ASEAN for receiving him and the Letter of Credentials, and
reiterated that Denmark remains committed to work with ASEAN. He expressed a
profound interest to focus on areas of human rights and maritime security
issues.
Ambassador Herman also sought the
Secretary-General’s availability for meetings with Danish Minister of Trade and
Investment and with Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, SG Minh and
the Ambassador also exchanged views on regional and international economic and
political-security issues.
