About the Author:
Anh Tho Andres graduated from the University of Hochiminh City in 1979 in former South Vietnam. Her first job with the National Oil Service Company (OSC) in Vung Tau, as a 5-language interpreter and customer relations officer, gave her a rich insight on Vietnam's relations with foreign investors and problems expats faced while living and working in Vietnam. Later, as a Translator-Consultant and Interpreter based in Singapore, she accompanied businessmen to Vietnam for their business dealings. She also started her method of "Learn Vietnamese in 8 Hours" and trained over 1000 Singaporean businessmen for their relocation. During the same period, while studying for her MBA @University of Hull (UK), she organised fact-finding trips for Vietnamese official delegations visiting Singapore, Malaysia and Switzerland. Since 2007, she attended further legal training in Swiss and English Law, and has been specialising in legal translation with her network of YourVietnamExpert colleagues, providing translation and consulting services on Vietnam. Her first book "Basic Vietnamese with Europhone" was sold for over 50'000 units. Her coming book, which will be published with authorhouse.co.uk by end 2011, "Back to Square One", relates her rich life experiences in Vietnam, Singapore, Norway, and Switzerland. She is currently Professor @UBIS, Geneva and is actively involved in promoting Higher Education in Vietnam.
