On June 6th, 2011, The World Bank hosted three separate rounds of consultations with our most important stakeholders in Vietnam on the CPS Concept Paper (one session with Government, one session with civil society and one session with development partners). The Concept Paper provided a brief analysis of the country context and Vietnam’s development vision, and laid out what the Bank sees as the major challenges and the envisaged thrust of the World Bank Group’s strategy and expected results for the next 5 years. The consultation sessions were held to in order to seek guidance on the proposed strategic directions and get inputs on whether the World Bank Team had included the right elements and on how to make the strongest possible strategy.
