THE 16th annual leaders consultation between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam concluded yesterday with both sides expressing satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak stated in a joint statement that they look forward to the "implementation of the decisions reached for a much strengthened bilateral relationship and cooperation" between the two countries.

The fruitful meeting began yesterday morning at the Prime Minister's Office in Malaysia's administrative capital Putrajaya with a closed door meeting at 11am. Upon arrival at the Perdana Putra Building, His Majesty was greeted by the Malaysian premier who invited the monarch to sign a visitor's book before the leaders commenced to Level 5 for the one-to-one meeting.

This is in addition to the Sultanate's "participation in Malaysia's economic corridors in Sabah, Sarawak, Iskandar Malaysia and the East Coast Economic Region".
