Low cost carrier AirAsia Indonesia has increased their flight frequency on one of its busiest routes, Jakarta-Bangkok, to twice daily.

"AirAsia is committed to providing better service on all of our routes, including the Jakarta-Bangkok route that has become one of the customers' most favorite. The new frequency will further strengthen the links between the two ASEAN cities," Dharmadi said in a statement sent to The Jakarta Post on Thursday.

The connection that AirAsia offered would make ASEAN feel “smaller” and also “bigger” at the same time, he added.

The additional flight will depart at 7:25 a.m. and will land in Bangkok at 10:50 a.m.

AirAsia is also offering promotional fares that start from Rp 347,000 (US$37) until Sept. 28 for travel between Oct. 20 and Nov.15, 2012.

Earlier this week, AirAsia Berhad (AirAsia) has also increased the frequency of their flights from Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur to accommodate the growing market of that route.
