Under the agreement, GE will work closely with the MoH to undertake a feasibility study to launch a local manufacturing assembly of medical devices to:

-       Equip Vietnam with modern healthcare technology
-       Increase access to quality medical care at lower costs
-       Attract large-scale investments

Provide training and employment opportunities in the industry for healthcare practitioners and professionals.

The MoU is part of GE's company-to-country strategy to bring its technologies and talent capacity to address infrastructure needs of the country. It is also part of GE's healthymagination initiative in improving access to quality healthcare by addressing critical gaps in existing developing-world healthcare facilities.
