Vietnam - Overseas luxury cruises in demand

Some local travel agents are offering overseas tours on luxury cruises from China, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Although the cost is quite expensive, this type of cruise is popular with local travelers.

Vietravel launches a six-day tour to Hong Kong-Gaoxiong-Taizhong-Taipei on the Legend of the Seas cruise of the Royal Caribbean International.

On this tour, guests take a plane to Hong Kong to head for Gaoxiong and other destinations in the schedule then back to Hong Kong for shopping and sightseeing before departing for Vietnam.

This big-scale cruise ship can hold up to 2,000 passengers and provides multiple entertainment services for guests like a library, theater, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym, bar, spa and casino. The cruise also offers a 9-hole mini golf course and convention center together with extra services. The package, priced at VND33 million per person departs on October 13 and 18. Also on the Legend of the Seas cruise ship, the One Travel International introduces a ten day tour of China, South Korea, Russia and Japan. After flying to Shanghai, travelers will do some sightseeing before stopping at Jeju Island, South Korea, Vladivostok, Russia and Otaru and Fukuoka, Japan before returning to Hong Kong and flying back to HCMC. The tour is expected to depart on September 17 priced at VND43.7 million.

Meanwhile, Saigontourist continues its six-day-five-night tours by Costa Classica cruise to China-Japan-South Korea and a five-day tour to Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand on Virgo cruise. The six-day tour is priced at VND77 million for three people and tourists will fly from Vietnam to Shanghai to start their journey. The five-day tour is VND54 million for two people, applicable for no window cabin. Passengers have to pay extra for window cabins. With this tour, guests board in Singapore.
