Vietnam - Number of foreign visitors soars 15% in first 9 months

Nhan Dan – Vietnam welcomed over 4.3 million foreign visitors in the first nine months of this year, an increase of 15.5% compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

The number of visitors from China increased by 44.9% to over 970,000;

followed by

the Republic of Korea, up 4.2%;

Japan, 8.2%;

the US, 1.2%;

Cambodia, 59.2%;

Taiwan (China), 5.7%;

Australia, 2.5%;

Malaysia, 12.2%; and

France, 6%
