technology firm FPT, has said it will grant automatic admissions to 50 high

* The Ho Chi
Minh City Department of Education and Training has asked the local People’s
Committee for permission to recruit teachers who have registered their
temporary residence in the city for public kindergartens and elementary schools
in the 2012-13 school year, according to Van Cong Sang, chief of personnel at
the department.
City regulations stipulate that K-12 public schools
can only recruit teachers with a registered permanent residence.
HCMC districts, especially those on the outskirts,
are suffering from a shortage of preschool and elementary school teachers, Sang
explains.
Sang added that the city will give high priority to those graduating from pedagogical schools during the recruiting process.
