The Dutch hotel chain
Golden Tulip plans to open at least 15 hotels in Bali and major Indonesian
cities such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Solo, Makassar, Surabaya, Bandung and
Bekasi in the next two years.
"The first will be opened in Seminyak, Bali in
December," said Erick Herlangga, regional development and operational
director of Golden Tulip Indonesia.
The chain will open another three hotels in the resort
island in Nusa Dua, Bedugul, and Ubud the following year. Meanwhile, nine other
establishments will open in cities outside Bali by 2015, Erick said as reported
by tribunnews.com
The hotels are aimed at both middle travelers and
above. Golden Tulip Essentials with 100 rooms and Golden Tulip with 75 rooms
will be more for the middle class while Royal Tulip with 75 rooms will be more
expensive .There will also be a budget hotel, Premiere Classe.
Indonesia is one of most attractive markets for hotel
chains. "Indonesia is now the 15th-largest economy in the world and
predicted to be the seventh in seven years. There must be plenty of people who
want to do business here, we want to accommodate them," said Erick.
