Philippines - PHL tourism lagging behind says expert



The Philippine tourism industry is lagging behind other Asian countries like Malaysia and China.

Florentino Garcia, Sales and Marketing Head of Crown Lifestyle based in Cebu City said tourism is the world’s money making industry however, “the Philippines is far behind other countries in terms of tourist visits and dollar earnings.”

The Crown Lifestyle marketing head disclosed that the top ten countries for tourist preferences and destinations are France, United States, Spain, China, Italy, London, Turkey, Germany, Malaysia and Mexico.

Garcia was invited by Zamboangueo physician Dr. Boyet Rodriguez to expound on Crown Lifestyle’s business opportunity for the Zamboanga residents at the Lantaka Hotel.

Medical doctors, students, government employees, managers and other sectors joined in the seminar workshop with regards to the company’s vision of providing wellness and financial prosperity to interested patrons present in the affair.

He said in order to improve tourism the country should focus on five aspects which are tourist manpower, facilities like airports, hotels, facilitations of bookings and marketing.
